A relationship is a beautiful thing but that doesn’t mean being in one is easy all the time, sometimes they may need a little extra care. Laurie Grengs, a licensed psychologist and an experienced couple and marriage counselor can offer you support on your journey to see eye to eye or let it go.
1 Corinthians 13:4-8 New International Version (NIV)
“4 Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 5 It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 6 Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. 7 It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.”
Love is an important part of any relationship, it can help us see past the clutter and focus on what really matters to us. Though we all strive to love fully, life events, financial stressors, emotions, distractions, work, even our ego can get in the way and make it hard to show your love for someone at all times.
Love is powerful. Lack of love is also powerful. Both can change the course of a relationship. It may be that love can not be forced or planned but after having been with someone for a good enough period of time you choose to love who a person is or not. Laurie Grengs can help you both remember, remind and get in touch with the love that you once had, it was strong enough to get you to where you are today, that should say enough right there.
A Perfect Relationship Doesn’t Exist because Perfect People Don’t Exist
Your relationship isn’t perfect. The fact is nobody’s relationship is! The more you get to know someone the more you will know. That means for the good and the bad. Each and every person makes mistakes, whether it be surprising you with an expensive car, breaking the Ecig machine or leaving the seat up. You can’t expect your partner to be perfect and, likewise, you can not expect to be perfect but together you can work on it and find your own way to bring love into your relationship all times and especially at the times it needs it the most.
